Hi! I’m Kyrene Tam, an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying Architecture & Design Innovation with minors in Sustainable Design and City Planning.

My foundation for design emerged in architecture, where I built an understanding of how urban landscapes shape people’s experiences and evolve over time. This journey helped me gain the skills and understanding of designing for people within a multitude of constraints.

Then, in sophomore year, I discovered and shifted my career toward product design. I found it to be the intersection of my interests—connecting with people through problem-solving, innovation, and a holistic understanding of their needs. My background has allowed me to have a strong interdisciplinary lens of how experiences shape people, and that perspective has helped me design digital products that create a lasting meaningful impact.
